Stats: 12, 18, 14, 10, 8, 16 or 10, 18, 15, 10, 8. Not a huge difference either way. Figure it out, future me.
Trait: Child of the Crusade (= Marshal), again no second guessing. No matter how much you might want to.  
Second trait (no drawback): Traits... good luck, future me. You'll need it.
Deity: yep, downside to paladin, got to pick one. In theory, less bothersome than all the other decisions.
